Packaging Guidelines you must know before signing up for Daraz- Complete Guide for Daraz Seller 2021

If you are already a seller on Daraz then you must keep yourself well-equip with the following guidelines. This will help you tackle any claim or trouble in future. The packaging guidelines at all cost must be strictly adhered to. They can be found in more detail on Daraz University accessible from seller ID. This article only provides a brief introduction covering each individual rules:

1, Only packaging material from daraz is allowed:

This is especially true for packages with small volume that can easily fit into the available Daraz packages. The packages comes in the form of flyers( printed with Daraz logo and can be bought through store ID only). The flyers come in 2 sizes of 28x24cm and 42x30cm. Another Daraz designated packaging comes in the form of boxes. Note that white plain flyers are not allowed and strictly prohibited.

2, Products that are bigger than the packaging available:

For products such as printer, TV, Fridge etc that doesn't usually fit into the package, In that case the box must be covered with a opaque brown sheet making sure that the product is not visible to view through it. Make sure to properly stick the shipping label on it and secure with a tape to avoid any possible damage.

3, Never print shipping label on colored pages:

This might look small but it matters a lot. This attitude shows a professional behavior and customer-seller relation. Make sure to always use plain white paper to print shipping label. Or incase of sticker the classic yellow color is allowed only.

3, Never put tape on flyer:

When packaging bulky items such as Books it might appear that securing it with a tape can do good. But never use a tape on the flyer as it gives the impression of torn parcel and customer might reject it at doorstep therefore Daraz does not accept any package with tape on the flyer.

5, Shrink wrap your package

If your packages are exceeding the packing provided by Daraz . Then after covering the product with brown sheet and sticking shipping label, always wrap it with shrink wrap. Otherwise the package won't be accepted. This is done to make sure that in case of rain or any contact with water, the packages are safe.

6, Packages should not be teared

Make sure that the flyer used is new and the package doesn't seem to be torn from any angle. This can lead to immediate rejection.

7, Use appropriate flyer size:

Sometimes due to shortage of flyer, if a seller packages the product in larger size flyer. Or the product is packed into larger volume than that specified in the product SKU. Than the shipping cost associated will be increased and deducted from the payment cycle. Make sure to always package the product in the correct flyer size as you mentioned in the product SKU.

8, Wet packages are not accepted:

Make sure the packages are dry and in neat condition. Wet or damp packages are not accepted. This could happen in case of rain or emergency.

9, Never forget the shipping label:

In personalized packages seller often forget to paste the shipping label on the parcel. It is a very common mistake overlooked by seller and they have to return back.

10, Never purchase Daraz packaging from outside the platform:

There are many people selling Daraz packages outside the platform at cheaper cost. To tackle this issue Daraz has introduced a new system where each packing item ordered from a seller is booked against his shop ID. Therefore always use packages that are officially bought through the platform as it can create a problem with the return or claims.
