Why your product is getting rejected by QA team on Daraz?- 2020 complete guide for Daraz Seller

Sellers often complain about their products getting rejected when uploaded and the QA (quality assurance) doesn't approve their product. This is a very uprising issue in the recent times as Daraz has updated its policy. There are many reasons why a product is being rejected. To fully understand first analyse the process of product approval:

As depicted in the graph above, you can edit the rejected product according to the reason provided by QA team. For product to be live on Daraz, it may take upto 2hr to 48 hrs since it was published.

It is important to understand that one product can be rejected with multiple rejection reasons  and  constant revision of the content before Quality Check approval can cause delay in the review process

Rejected SKUs can be divided in two major category:

1. Policy Violation:

The product under policy violation are immediately locked from the listings and is not allowed to be edited for resubmission. This is restricted to products that have the following situations:
1, Brands that have partnership agreements with Daraz.
2, Products that are declared illegal to be sold in the country due to laws.

2. Poor Quality:

Products rejected under Poor quality can be edited and rectified accordingly. The reasons for rejection can be summarized as under:

1, Wrong Category:

Sellers must make sure that all products are tagged in the relevent cateogory within the cateogory tree provided by Daraz. When a seller tries to list the product in the wrong category for the reduced commission rates it automatically reduces the visibility on the page search and also can lead to NCP(non-compliance points).

2, Additional Poses Required:

To enable the customer to better understand and have an idea of the product the pictures must be taken from more than one angle so as to clarify any doubts and misunderstanding that may arise. Online shopping is all about aesthetics and you can only maintain your buyers attention by good quality sufficient pictures. Any lack of the above features can cause lack of visibility and a possible reason for rejection by QA team.

3, Incorrect Brand Name:

Brand name is very important and a seller must properly lists its products under the correct brand and avoid any fake or counterfeit brands. If a seller manufactures its own product than he/she can make own brand name and get it approved within 1-2 working days. Using wrong brand name will cause you trouble.

4, What’s in the box missing:

The product SKU must clearly mention what is included in the box. Make sure to add all the products that a seller has mentioned in the description and will add in the packaging. This provides clarity to the customer before making the purchase and helps in claim and return related issues.

5, Replica products not allowed:

Daraz does not allow fake or counterfeit products on the product. Products that show different description as compared to the price of the product if its original. In case of this ambiguity the product will be rejected. Seller are not allowed to fraud any customer.

6, Size chart required:

For all items that require a size must include one for the better understanding of customers. All such items should clearly mention the measurements to avoid return issues.

7, No scribbles are allowed:

No watermark or scribbles are allowed on the images uploaded for the product SKU. The picture must be clear, original and copyright free.

8, Features missing / insufficient information:

All the relevant and necessary information regarding the product must be mentioned in the product description. Incorrect or insufficient information on a particular product leads to QC rejection.

9, Other Reason:

If the product does not seem appropriate and as per Daraz standards for reasons other than the ones mentioned above, it may be rejected. You can find more about that with live chatting with the employees and learn more.
